Why should I choose Fresh Start Cabinetry?

We value your business and will give your project the attention it deserves.  You will not be a number at Fresh Start Cabinetry.  Due to our business model of limited showroom hours and working mainly by appointment, we save on overhead costs and are able to offer competitive pricing, even when compared to large home centers.

Even the cabinet industry has been affected by online shopping. However, with such a large investment, is it wise to make selections without any face-to-face interaction? Designing your space and making your choices is something that is simply not done well online.  There is no one to physically measure your space and ensure the fit of the design. In the long run, purchasing cabinets online can actually be more time consuming with much greater risk for error.

Fresh Start Cabinetry offers the best of both worlds.  You can visit our showroom to make your selections in person and purchase your cabinets knowing you paid a fair price for your investment.

Why is your showroom open two days a week?

The showroom is open on a limited basis in order to keep costs down. We pass those savings down to our clients. Working primarily by appointment also allows us to have dedicated time to focus on our client without distraction.

Why don’t you have large kitchen displays?

There are thousands of combinations in which cabinetry can be ordered. The odds of being able to show a client their exact chosen door style and finish in a complete kitchen display are astronomically low. Furthermore, it is impossible to convey an exact design in a display.

Do I have enough space for an island in my kitchen?

While it is a great design feature, sometimes homes are simply not designed for including an island. It may certainly be feasible by making a structural change, but sometimes it simply does not work well to include an island in your design. We will only design a kitchen where you will be able to move effectively and freely.

Do you sell complete kitchens with all amenities?

While we can guide you and make suggestions in areas like appliances, plumbing fixtures, lighting, flooring, etc.; we feel that the client is better served financially, knowledge-wise, and selection-wise by consulting experts in those respective fields. We can supply you with recommendations for area businesses that can fulfill those needs.

Do you offer installation services?

We do not offer installation services at this time. We feel the client is served better financially and communication-wise by dealing directly with a contractor to manage all aspects of the installation project. We will work with your chosen remodeling contractor or builder to coordinate anything that is necessary for the design and installation throughout the project.

Can you estimate kitchen cabinetry cost based on square footage?

No. There is such a wide range of material choices and variables in each design. It is impossible to give a ballpark figure. A better way of looking at this is to come up with a realistic budget that you are comfortable with and we can steer you towards the materials that will give you the best value for your budget. A realistic budget for a complete kitchen remodel would start at around 10% of your home’s value.

Businesses that advertise cabinetry for a 10 X 10 kitchen for X amount of dollars is very misleading. The same goes for countertop square footage pricing. There may be complicated angles in a countertop that require more seeming and edge treatments than a kitchen design with the same square footage. When dealing with quartz for example, the slab choice varies based on the manufacturer and chosen color. The yield of the slab is based on the design.

Do you design cabinets for areas other than a kitchen or bath?

Yes! We can design cabinetry for home offices, mudrooms, bar areas and more.

Does Fresh Start Cabinetry do refinishing or refacing?

No. We sell pre-built stock, semi-custom, and custom cabinetry. Please see our “Why Buy New” page for a detailed explanation of why purchasing new cabinetry vs. refinishing or refacing is a preferred choice.
